What is a discovery Lesson?
At Studio Muse, we believe that great music lessons start with the right fit. Our Discovery Lesson is designed to help students and teachers begin their musical journey with clarity, confidence, and connection.
What’s Included in a Discovery Lesson?
A 45-minute private lesson
A personalized skill assessment
Goal-setting and curriculum planning
Time for student and teacher to get to know one another
An opportunity for students (and parents) to ask questions
A clear explanation of our lesson process, studio policies, and expectations
This is more than just a trial lesson. It gives our teachers the opportunity to thoughtfully assess the student’s current skill level, learning style, and musical interests so we can create a customized plan for long-term success. We also use this time to evaluate the student-teacher connection, an important part of a positive and productive music education experience.
What Happens Next?
The Discovery Lesson is offered at a flat rate of $50.
There is no obligation to continue with further lessons after the discovery lesson has been taken. When you decide to move forward with lessons at Studio Muse, the full cost of your Discovery Session will be applied toward your first tuition payment for the school year.
